He takes a while to get to know you, but your patience will be rewarded!  He’s a very sweet guy who is enjoying being in a house for the first time with soft dog beds and stuffies to collect. 

He is currently residing with another greyhound and a pug, and everyone plays together very well.  He loves to play in the yard, rolling in the grass is greyt!!  He also enjoys our evening walks.  He is a good eater and is housebroken.  He likes women better than men, but just needs extra time and understanding from men. 

Well, it’s been several months now.  Cooksey has definitely adjusted to being in a house.  He hardly ever goes into the bathroom where he used to hide in the beginning.   He does like this chilly weather that we have been having, and we found out on New Years that he is not frightened by the fireworks like my other grey.  He loves to race around the yard and to go for walks.   He really likes being on a schedule.  He seems to enjoy the company of my other grey.  He does have some quirks.  For example, he gets really tensed up when we are on walks and he hears children in the neighborhood and he is still frightened of my 12 year old son.  So, I think he would be best suited for a home without children.  He apparently loves bread, so don’t leave any on your kitchen counter or it will disappear!  He really is a sweet, funny boy with a lot of love to give.  I hope that he can find his forever home soon, he deserves his own people that will love him forever.
