I woke up at 2am this
morning. I could not sleep. I dragged the other dog bed
over to where Padfoot was laying beside my bed, grabbed a
blanket and curled up beside him. I can't quite seem to get
him into my bed. Weird for a boy, that's for sure. :)
Anyway, it was a long time before I could sleep and this is
what was in my mind.
I woke up in the middle of
the night, and I know I heard your voices calling to me,
that crazy whiney yelp and the sweetest roo. You both
sounded so happy. I could hear the rustle of the feathers on
your shimmering wings as you both fought to lick my tears.
"Mommy, we're home," you seemed to say. "Jesus is here, and He wanted us to tell you how much He loves you. It's ok to cry and miss us. We miss you, too. Sonic, Clyde, and Paws all send their love. Tell Auntie Heather that Bruno and the hedgies send their love, and tell Auntie KeiKei that Indy and her piggie send theirs, too. It's really neat here. The beds are soft and warm and we can eat anything we want. I've already had all the chocolate I can eat, but Jade just keeps ordering her steaks. Know that we will always be with you, and never, ever forget how much we love you."
I felt their kisses once more before they faded back to their eternal plane. The tears ran and the sobs shook. My heart is breaking to see your sweet faces, to touch your softest fur, and to hear your voices once more. How I will make it through each day, only Almighty God can know. But no matter the pain or the unending flow of tears, I would never trade, for even one small second, the love we shared. God rest you, Sweetest Lamb and Perfect Pukka.

used advice. I cannot believe the love I have received
since letting my sweet Sonic into my home. These creatures
are far from ordinary dogs. They are... well, they are
greyhounds.
