MYSTIC MORGAN

MORGAN CROSSED OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

December, 2000 - late, 2007

We only had Mystic Morgan for about a year (late 2006 to late 2007), but she had such a “helicopter” tail that constantly wagged in a large circle – 360 degrees!!  She was such a bed hog.  She came to us with that trait and my husband gladly allowed her onto the bed.  I was always the one that ended up with only one inch from the edge of the mattress (we had a king-size bed.

She would come up on the bed, and then there would be ½ hour (30 minutes) of “love festivalizing” (rubbing her belly) before she would go to sleep.  If she did not get petted or not getting petted long enough, she would move her right front paw into my husband’s or my body until she was satisfied she had gotten enough “love” for the night and settled down.  Since I was going to school at the time, it was a problem because I wasn’t getting enough sleep.

My husband and Morgan moved into another room with another bed (queen size) to share and she (and my husband) were perfectly content having their 30 minute love festival every night and Morgan hogging more than half the bed.

Morgan threw up a lot near the end.  Xray showed an enlarged spleen.  When it was taken out, it was sent for analysis – it came back malignant.  I don’t remember the name of the type of cancer, but I remember that the doctors at the vet office said she would suffer.  So, we decided to have her put down.  We keep her collar, picture, ashes and paw print on an end table display.
