WONDER'S STORY
AMF White Wonder "Wonder" Wonder and Duke

Wonder and Duke
Wonder came into our lives August 2002.
He had been in another home and was returned
after a family break up. He was in a foster home at the time Joan mentioned
him when we went to look for another Grey to
take home. She felt he was a good fit for us. How right she was. Wonder
walked into our home and picked his spot and laid down.
Wonder was a gentle, kind soul that just was
content to be here. He shared
his yard with our First Grey "Duke", Our Whippet, Elmo and the rabbit
that came in the evenings to munch on dinner. The rabbit had no
reason to fear, Wonder was a "Great White" soft teddy bear. He was
the only one here that would wear Antlers at Christmas. Occasionally
he would come out with Charles shirt on. Wonder did not care. He was
truly a WONDER. He would be up and waiting for Charles to come home
from work before he drove in the driveway. Charles never came home
and the same time. Wonder just knew he was near.
Wonder passed away in our arms today (January 14, 2008), another victim of
Cancer. What a joy to have shared our lives with such a special animal. We
know he
is happy and pain free running with Duke and Elmo.
